Fungal nails and foot infections
Thickened or discoloured nails are often fungal. Diane can assess the nail, reduce thickness where it helps, and recommend over-the-counter treatment and hygiene. Foot Health Practitioners cannot prescribe antifungal medicines.
Diagnosis and recommendations
Diane assesses the nail and surrounding skin for likely fungal infection, and can reduce thickened nail so it is more comfortable and topical products can reach it. She recommends over-the-counter treatment and hygiene. Prescription antifungals are not supplied from this service; a GP or pharmacist can advise if they are needed.
